🚧 The Wall That Wasn’t Strong Enough
Upon inspecting his home, we found that the wall where he intended to mount the Murphy bed was made of gypsum board, which lacked the structural strength required for a standard wall-mounted bed installation.
Instead of turning him away or compromising on safety, our design team stepped up with an innovative solution.
🔧 Thinking Beyond Walls: Ceiling-Mounted Murphy Bed
We proposed an alternative method — mounting the Murphy bed to the ceiling instead of the wall, ensuring complete structural safety without compromising on design. To elevate the functionality and visual appeal of the setup, we also recommended a custom loft cabinet above the bed.
This not only added hidden storage but also gave the whole unit a clean, built-in finish that blended beautifully with the room.
