JD Design Awards 2025: Igniting a New Era in Interior Design

The Bangalore edition of JD Design Awards 2025 – Interior Design Edition opened with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, setting the tone for a truly powerful and future-forward design experience. The two-day event celebrated ideas that bridge the gap between innovation and intention — from AI-driven concepts to purpose-led spatial designs, this was more than just a student showcase; it was a glimpse into the future of how we will live, work, and thrive.

Our founder, Mr. Prashanth, was honoured to be the Chief Guest at this prestigious event. He witnessed a wave of fresh design thinking from the next generation of interior designers — ideas that challenge convention, push boundaries, and question the status quo of space-making.

A New Movement: No More Multifunctional

At the heart of Mr. Prashanth’s keynote was a powerful message:

“No More Multifunctional” is not a rejection of smart furniture — it's a deeper call to design with meaning.
It’s a movement towards creating intentional, adaptive spaces where form and function evolve around real life, not just clever mechanics.

This new thinking reflects a shift in user needs. While the past decade celebrated compact furniture with multiple uses, today’s homes demand designs that align with purpose, presence, and people. It’s about how space feels, flows, and supports living — not just how it folds.

Student Designs that Impressed

Design students showcased their bold, thoughtful and tech-forward interpretations of spatial design. From homes that adapt to hybrid lifestyles to sensory-friendly layouts, each presentation was a testament to how design can serve humanity and not just aesthetics.

As a brand that has pioneered space-saving furniture and multifunctional interiors, our participation in this event was a proud milestone — both in celebrating young minds and in ushering in our next chapter: transforming homes into meaningful, personalized spaces.
